This is a group for committed Christian women, devoted to daily Bible reading and prayer. Members of this group receive daily devotional reminders. We believe that the Bible is God's inspired, infallible and inerrant word. Without Christ and His redemptive work on the cross, our world would be without hope. May God through the work of His Holy Spirit, grant us grant us His wisdom, guidance, peace and direction.

THE "50 in 15 ORGANIZING LADIES" GROUP IS BACK!!!

For women who prefer to work with 15 minute intervals, this group has just been reformed! This is a Christian based, homemaking group, that is based on the principle, that you can accomplish A LOT in just 15 minutes!! We set our timers for 15 minute intervals, and then do one of the following: a) Pick up 50 items and put them away. b) Tidy one room of the house. The posted LINKS are a great resource and helpful checklists can be found in our FILES. You can put these printed sheets into your control binder. Working with a timer, helps to keep you focused. Fifteen minute intervals are not long, and are a manageable interval for even the busiest person!! If you do NOT want a lot of e-mails in your mailbox, please request the "DAILY DIGEST" or "SPECIAL NOTICES".

NEW "STEP CLEANING" GROUP FORMED!!!

The members of this group will follow a 10 day "STEP PLAN" which will lead to daily maintenance of their homes. We will begin Day 1 with 5 areas/rooms of our home to clean. We will add one area (room)to our daily list each day, till we arrive at Day 10, which will be our "Basic Plan for Daily Maintenance". It will take only 10 days to reach this plan!

COUNTING STEPS WHILE CLEANING......CAN YOU WALK 1,000 STEPS/HOUR?

I LOVE using my pedometer, while house cleaning! It is a wonderful motivator, as I track my steps by the hour! (It is recommended that people walk 10,000 steps a day, for good health!) Can you do it?

These make great Christmas gifts!! We LOVE these pedometers, which also come with replacement parts. (This saves replacing your entire pedometer,if your clip breaks, or your battery needs replacing, etc.) These are especially great pedometers, since their internal mechanism makes them 99% accurate. They are made in Japan. After doing a LOT of research on pedometers, I came across these made by YAMAX, and I have not found any that are more accurate, or have superior features. They also come with a "safety strap", which will save you replacing it, if it ever comes loose from your waist! I have used mine for almost two years now, and have never regreted purchasing it!

MAKING YOUR DREAMS YOUR DESTINY

On Saturday morning, I was attending a Christian women's breakfast, and the keynote speaker was Judy Rushfeldt. She is the author of "Making Your Dreams Your Destiny", and had a profound and challenging message to the women in the audience.

Part way through the meeting, she decided to throw her latest book into the audience, and it landed right at my feet!! The gift was worth $21.99, and I am quite excited about reading it! Here is a link to the book:

WHY WE SHOULD LISTEN MORE

The words of Jesus in John 10:27 say:
"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me."

If we love Jesus, we will obey Him and follow Him. We learn to obey Him, by listening to His voice in the scriptures.

In "Devotions for a Sacred Marriage", Gary Thomas writes about how this verse relates to our marriages. If we love our husbands, we will listen to them.

Let us make it our goal to LISTEN more, and talk less. He quotes from Proverbs 10:19, which says that, "When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise."

Let us see the positive effect, that using this scripture, will have in our marriages!

WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE?

I recently purchased, "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren, and published by Zondervan. This book came highly recommended to me by a dear friend of mine. It is divided into 40 chapters, symbolic of the number 40, which is a spiritually transforming number in scriptures. The author recommends that you read one chapter per day, ponder on it, and react to it. He recommends reading the book with another friend, so you can encourage each other, and discuss the books thoughts together.

He begins the book with DAY ONE: "It All Starts With God". His main point is, "To discover your purpose in life you must turn to God's Word, not the world's wisdom." (page 20) He quotes from a variety of translations,trying to select the best passage to illustrate the examples he has chosen.

"In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will."(Ephesians 1:11)

MY FAVORITE COOKBOOK

I thought today that I would share my favorite cookbook with you. If I had to narrow down my cookbook collection to one book, this would be it! I began using this cookbook when I had two preschoolers and one little newborn. They were not eating a lot of food at the time. The recipes are very easy to adjust, you only prepare the amount you need.This is ONE cookbook I will NOT part with!! "IT IS A KEEPER!!" I used the older version, which is now out of print. It was called: "The Complete Make-A-Mix Cookbook". The new book looks like it is also available on CD, but is available in book form as well. ALL the recipes that I can remember using, were "from scratch"......NO CANS, other than using a can of tomato sauce or something like that. I LOVE THIS COOKBOOK!! It is FANTASTIC!! It has a FIVE star rating on AMAZON. I was introduced to the book by a homeschooling mother of six, who was EXTREMELY organized!! I asked her how she did it, and she said that the cookbook REALLY saved her time. It was her "key" to survival in the kitchen!! She asked me to try it out for three weeks, (it takes 21 days to develop a good habit), and I was sold on it! The front and back covers of her book were worn off, which tells you how much she loved and used this cookbook!

THE CREATION OF "ORGANIZING ANNIE"!

I did not sleep well last night. I only slept a few hours. This seems to happen to me whenever something major is happening in my life! I kept thinking about the need to start up a women's group which was strictly to help women in their role as homemaker. Since I could not sleep, I put my energies into setting up this new website for homemakers, which will not allow the members to post. (It will ONLY send out messages.) It will be the same format as the other two websites I have set up previously, but will have no interaction among members, since some women do not want that option, and prefer to have fewer e-mails. So, I put my insomia to constructive use, and had a group of ladies signed up already this morning!
